Court Office Services Program
Score Type: TYTThe court clerical services program within the department of clerical services and secretarial services within the Bartın Vocational School of Bartın University Bartın Vocational School started to admit students for the first time in the 2019-2020 academic year as the justice program within the law department. In 2023, as a result of the transformation initiated by the decision of the Council of Higher Education, the court clerical services program was established within the Bartın Vocational School within the department of clerical services and secretarial services within the Bartın Vocational School by transforming the department and program. The quota of our court office services program is 30 students, and the first students will be accepted in the 2024-2025 academic year.
The Court Office Services program students receive a 2-year (4 semesters) education consisting of 120 ECTS credits in our college. In our program, 3 + 1 education system is applied. For students to graduate from the program, in addition to the compulsory and elective courses they take during the education process, they must take workplace practice training to fill 70 working days. Workplace practice training is a professional practice process that requires 70 working days in the 4th semester to prepare the Court Office Services Program students for business life in the public and private sectors. For this reason, students complete their workplace practice training in various courts, prosecutor's offices, executive offices, notary offices, attorney and law offices, banks, insurance companies, legal consultancies of public institutions and organizations, and receivables follow-up departments within the judicial and administrative judicial justice commissions.
The needs of the globalizing world in the field of law and justice are constantly developing and changing. For this reason, the need for qualified personnel who can follow the developments in national and international law and use the latest technologies is increasing rapidly. Our program was established to respond to this need and educate qualified intermediate manpower who have the knowledge and equipment required by the age, who can quickly adapt to professional life and perform at a high level, and who are needed in the execution of legal affairs of institutions operating in the private sector, especially the Ministry of Justice, banks, law offices, notaries, insurance companies and private sector.
With workplace practice training, it is to get to know the business areas related to the program to be graduated, to ensure that the knowledge accumulated by the courses given in the academic program is reinforced by practice in the workplace, to make preliminary preparation for the courses to be taken in the following semesters, to introduce students to the work they can do in the workplace environment and in institutions related to their education.
Students who are successful in their courses also have the opportunity to double major in some programs under the structure of our school. Students who graduate from the court office services program are given the title of "justice professional staff," and these professional staff carry out the necessary procedures in courts, enforcement offices, and execution institutions, such as the transmission of citizens' applications to the courts and the implementation of the decisions taken by the judges. These professional staff are intermediate and highly needed staff employed in large numbers in the state and private sector. In particular, they have a wide range of job opportunities in the justice organization as clerk or deputy clerk, executive director, deputy director or clerk, branch directorate, administrative affairs directorate, directorate in penal and execution institutions, minutes clerk, bailiff, guard, notary offices, law offices, companies, various public and economic organizations, private economic enterprises, public or private banks.
